Jerrit & Stacy

I love that no two weddings are ever the same. When my wife and I were engaged, we were frequently questioned about the style of our wedding — classic or modern, personal or by the book. It never seemed simple to answer those questions, our wedding was going to be “us.” The weddings I love shooting most are the ones that display the bride and groom personally. The style might be traditional or more DIY or anything really but what inspires me most at a wedding is when the couple’s love and lives are evident throughout the day.

Jerrit & Stacy’s wedding day at the Rollins Mansion in Des Moines, IA was beautifully planned — her dress was stunning, the table settings were magazine-worthy and the colors were trendy while also timeless. The whole day couldn’t have been more ideal for a garden wedding. Everything was done with impeccable taste but the thing that made this wedding one of my favorites of the year was the joy, love and fun this couple shared with each other and with all of their guests throughout the day.
