White Family Photos - Why do it all on film?

Adam and Allie came to me and asked about family photos and we decided to use film. Portra 400, Portra 800 and a little Fuji 400H that was left over in one camera. Why would we choose film over digital? It takes longer, you don't know if the camera or film worked properly, it's more expensive... I mean, is it really worth it? 

Yes. I think it is. Film is timeless. You can't recreate the look of medium format film in digital photos. We could get nerdy and talk about a bunch of math and numbers, but let's look at photos instead. I hope you feel these photos differently than digital photos. It gets me every time.
